Vinaya Rednam, MD, FACS

Dr. Rukmini (Vinaya) Rednam, known by her patients as the Confidence Doc®, is an esteemed board-certified plastic surgeon serving the communities of Houston and The Woodlands, TX. Caring for patients both nationally and internationally, Dr. Rednam has made a name for herself as a premier post massive weight loss body contouring specialist. She is a founding member of My Houston Surgeons, the largest private practice plastic surgery group in Houston and also is a serial entrepreneur, international keynote speaker and podcast host.

Her academic journey began with her acceptance into the prestigious Conley Scholars Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, a baccalaureate-medical program that seamlessly integrated undergraduate and medical education through a competitive selection process. She completed her integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Kentucky under the mentorship of Dr. Henry C. Vasconez followed by an aesthetic fellowship at the University of Florida. She is an active member of both the Aesthetic Society and American Society of Plastic surgeons serving on multiple committees for both. She is most proud of her work as part of the leadership on the Women in Plastic Surgery Committee.

Her practice largely focuses on body contouring – in the post massive weight loss population, transgender top surgery and both implant based and microsurgical breast reconstruction.

Outside of the OR Dr. Rednam is a mother of two little girls, an avid speaker, a fashion and jewelry designer and is pursuing additional education at Parsons in New York for her fashion design certification. Her love of art and beauty can be found in all her pursuits in and out of the operating room.

Ashkan Ghavami, MD

Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, a world-renowned celebrity plastic surgeon located in the heart of Beverly Hills, has built a reputation for delivering the natural yet impressive results. His mantra, Keep Them GuessingTM, embodies that philosophy and distinguishes him from many other plastic surgeons. He has made a name in the ultra-competitive Los Angeles area among celebrities and patients from around the world as a “go-to” plastic surgeon. His signature procedures include advanced rhinoplasty, Flash Recovery® Breast Augmentation, S-Curve® Butt Lift and REGENELift® for a comprehensive facial rejuvenation. He is a talented, well-rounded plastic surgeon with an artistic eye that specializes in making a positive impact on every patient.

Through an unyielding aspiration to give his patients natural appearing results, Dr. Ghavami has become a sought-out plastic surgeon in Los Angeles. Pushing the limits while maintaining a high degree of safety remains of utmost importance for all operations he performs. As a pioneer and leader with buttock augmentations, he was asked to serve on the national task force for safety regulation in gluteal augmentation procedures. The task force investigated multiple cases and ultimately created the guidelines and standards for plastic surgeons performing this operation around the world. More recently, he has been invited to present and co-chair the SDARTS meeting – a meeting focused on regenerative therapeutics. Once again, Dr. Ghavami remains at the forefront in the field of aesthetic medicine by synergizing cutting-edge surgical techniques with groundbreaking regenerative-based treatments to take patient results to an even higher level.

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Ghavami has a specific interest in giving back by training the next generation of plastic surgeons and his peers. He was elected to serve as the President of the Rhinoplasty Society, has been invited to lecture around the world and authored numerous peer-reviewed publications / textbook chapters. At many of these national conferences, he leads cadaver dissections to showcase his unique surgical techniques to other surgeons around the world. Over the years he has performed thousands of rhinoplasties on patients from various ethnic backgrounds. He strongly believes surgeons should shape noses and facial contours in a harmonious manner that maintains ethnic congruency. This passion motivated him to publish a textbook entitled, “Global Rhinoplasty – A multicultural Approach.” He is also the co-director of the prestigious Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles which trains future leaders in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. As a member of multiple plastic surgery societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), Dr. Ghavami remains current on all cutting-edge techniques and procedures to consistently offer his patients the best results. Lastly, Dr. Ghavami serves on the physician advisory board for the Face Forward International Organization that provides reconstructive surgeries pro-bono for patients that have suffered significant and severely disfiguring injuries from domestic abuse.

His talents and natural yet impressive results have captured the attention of multiple medial and news outlets, including appearances on Good Morning America, The Doctors, Extra, Inside Edition, Fox News, Discovery Channel, The Tyra Show, Ricki Lake, Telemundo, CBS News, and KTLA. Dr. Ghavami has achieved quite the expansive “organic” social media following. He was awarded as the Number One plastic surgery social media influencer by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine 2017. He takes great pride in ethical and honest depiction of surgical and non-surgical results which is imperative in today’s “face-tuned” world.

Dr. Ghavami completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, which is one of the top training programs in the United States. He trained under some of the most innovative leaders in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Ghavami also completed an advanced fellowship training in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at UTSW. He earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Medical School after completing his undergraduate education in Biology at the University of California-Irvine.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Ghavami is an avid guitar player, sculptor, artist, tennis player and creative writer. He has developed a keen interest in health and longevity. Dr. Ghavami has found many ways to improve one’s overall health and achieve vitality in addition to longevity. By applying these principles to his surgical practice, he can optimize healing to achieve lasting results with reduced downtime.

Dr. Ghavami will present four talks during the conference on the topics of facelifting, rhinoplasty for all ethnicities, radio frequency synergy, and S Curve safe buttock enhancement.
